There are several denominations that practice “infant baptism.” While there are several reasons I can appreciate the motivation behind this practice, it certainly finds no justification in Scripture.
Its quite simple. A baby is not responsible for future sin. A baby is innocent and becomes sinful over time and yes the flesh is naturally sinful because of the fall Ephesians 2 v3, corrupted by the world, and so has a free will to choose between repentance or not. People live under this idea they are saved as a baby because some religious organisation like the Roman Catholic church that was totally pagan before becoming Christian, and lies to people going against God's word attracting a false promise. It does not matter what any of us think, all that matters is what God thinks and says in his word. When Jesus said you must be born again of water and spirit in John 3 v5, he was talking to adults not babies.
Nothing to do with babies. Babies cannot be responsible for sin later in life nor do they inherit anything from parents. All children and babies go straight to heaven if they die. Jesus was talking to adults in john 3 v5 not children, and without the water baptism as adults no one will enter the kingdom of God. Jesus sets the standards and made it clear to adults they must happen through free will, john chapter 15 v1-27. Baby baptisms are religious created nothing to do with eternal inheritance. Its adults that are responsible for sin. So if you are a catholic holding on to the baby baptisms its a lie from the devil. Acts chapter 10 v1-48 makes that clear.
Wes, i am a Christian evangelist in the UK and this was really good! Well done brother! Most won't accept this, because they are deceived and living in a lie. As Timothy says in 2 Timothy 3-4.
Let the child grow up before you circumcise him. God should have told Abraham to do that and not on the eighth day of his life. Does the child know what circumcision is for?
Catholic church offers several steps toward the understanding of Baptism. First guidance and protection of Parents, (Infant Baptism) second, Holy Communion ( 12 years Jesus at Temple- A child begins to learn the word of God) and finally Confirmation when he is mature enough to understand the Holy Spirit and the Scripture and decide to receive the Hoy Spirit completely with understanding. So Jesus also had these- 8th day presentation at the temple (Infant Baptism) (12 years at the temple -(Holy Communion) and Confirmation (Jesus Adult Baptism)
How do you figure no inherited sin. Do you think then that a day old cot death baby will be raised in the first resurrection with the righteous?
Do you compartmentalise ’all have sinned’ according to an arbitrary assumption?

children.
Acts 16:15: Lydia and her household were baptized after she was converted.
Acts 16:33: The Philippian jailer was baptized, and afterward he and all his family were baptized.
1 Corinthians 1:16: Paul mentions that he baptized the household of Stephanas.
Hmmmm…. Except infants? I think not!!

You baptize infants because that’s what the Early Christians did according to the Sacred Tradition passed down by the Apostles.
