Interesting article, brother.

There’s definitely a distinction between circumcision and baptism in the Bible. Circumcision marked a physical lineage under the old covenant, while baptism is more about identifying with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. And yeah, Paul does say we’re sealed with the Holy Spirit, not with water. But I think people draw the parallel between circumcision and baptism because both are outward acts tied to an inward reality. The Israelites passed through the Red Sea as a picture of freedom, and we pass through baptism as a picture of new life. Not a perfect one-to-one, but there’s definitely symbolism there. I think the key is remembering that these acts point to deeper spiritual truths — they’re not the source of salvation, but signs of it.
