I was very excited to have a few moments to talk about my book, “The Treasure Chest of Grace” recently on Adam Faughn’s “Page Turners.” Adam has interviewed some fantastic authors and I was very humbled to receive his invitation.

My favorite part of camp is singing at the bonfire. Here is a video of the kids at singing, “Light the Fire” tonight. I apologize that the sound is difficult to hear.

I think we all need to be singing and praying that God lights a fire in our souls!

Thanks for watching! I hope you have a wonderful Father’s Day, everyone!

1 Peter 3:21 says, “Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ” (ESV). But, does that mean what it seems to mean? Does baptism really “save you”? I hope this video will help you to have a little bit better understanding about baptism.

If you have enjoyed this video, please consider sharing it with others.

Encouragement

Wes  —  February 7, 2012

What is encouragement? What does it mean to “encourage one another.” Is encouraging someone the same as complimenting them?

If you have about two minutes, why don’t you watch this “encouraging” video. You may discover some things about the word, “encourage” that you never thought about before.

The Word of God

Wes  —  December 26, 2011

Here is a video sermon from this past Sunday evening’s worship service.

I think we have an epidemic in the Lord’s church of thinking that Christianity is simply about satisfying certain requirements in order to be rewarded for doing a good job. The truth is something quite different! Christianity is about a relationship with God. In fact, Christianity is about God; it isn’t really about you at all. In this sermon I discuss these three points:

1. Real Devotion is About Relationship

2. Real Devotion Doesn’t Look for “A Line”

3. Real Devotion is Self-Less

I love you and God loves you!

In this video, I discuss the question of, “What does the Bible say about tattoos?” I know of only one passage which specifically mentions tattoos by name, and that is an Old Testament passage in Leviticus. Therefore, Christians must determine, based on the New Testament, whether or not it is pleasing to God to tattoo our bodies. In other words, what principles do we find in Scripture that apply to the issue of tattoos?

Certainly, I do not believe tattoos will keep a person from heaven. If you already have tattoos, I am not making a judgement about you or your choices. I simply want to encourage everyone to examine every decision we make in light of God’s word.

Whether you have no tattoos, one tattoo, or a thousand tattoos–I love you and God loves you! I hope you have a wonderful day!
